I selected The Woodlands Heating & Air Conditioning to replace four 5 Ton HVAC (total 20 Tons) units at my primary residence. My selection was made after extensive conversations and on site-quotes from comparable competitors to assure valuations and TECHNICAL EXPERTISE were properly evaluated.
Most vendors have personable and likable salespersons, but they may be woefully lacking in technical knowledge / hard to answer operational and installation questions. Not so with The Woodlands Heating & Air Conditioning, when I ask, they answered with pin-point accuracy.
I knew what I wanted and what was needed to replace four 20-year-old obsolete units, but I was not up-to-date on the latest innovations and wanted facts, not sales rhetoric. After detailed evaluation of current technology offered by all major manufactures, I decided the variable speed units by TRANE were the proper choice for my needs.
From prior experience, I absolutely did not want a contractor that relies only on third party (contract labor) to do the install. This option bodes for (almost assures) a very quick but questionable installation, with absolute minimum of labor, materials, and craftsmanship. If, and probably when, a problem occurs, who returns for resolution?
The Woodlands Heating & Air Conditioning was at the very top of my list in perceived competence, at the very top of my list in perceived value for services quoted/and ultimately received, and at the very top of my list in perceived technical knowledge and applied application. My perceptions proved to be accurate in every respect!
The Woodlands Heating & Air Conditioning was my choice (overwhelming obvious choice) to do the removal of old equipment and installation of new equipment – adding return air ducts, adding supply ducts, relocating units for optimum performance, and bringing HVAC systems up to current code recommendations / requirements.
Actual installation was no surprise, professionally done by a Stellar group of supervisors and technicians that are employees of The Woodlands Heating & Air Conditioning.
Absolute cream of the crop and a pleasure to have in-house; really good people. They made a potential stressful couple of days into a non-event. I have profound respect for each one of the supervisors and technicians that worked on this project.
Installation is completed and is first class all the way. I am extremely pleased with the results from initial contact to the finished project.
**I had a 3rd party oversee the install. He was extremely impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of work performed. He noted the technicians had the latest and most up-to-date tools and instruments available, as well as a very impressive on-site stock of supplies and consumables.
After many years of “band aid repairs” on a 20 year old unit, it was finally time to replace instead of repair. On the advice of a neighbor, I called The Woodlands Heating and A/C with the intention of getting an estimate and beginning the shopping process for a new system. Miguel arrived promptly and provided an estimate for the replacement of the entire system, along with some suggestions for increasing efficiency. After meeting with Miguel, I immediately felt confident proceeding without even consulting another contractor. Being a very busy, single, working mom, I was unable to be present for the installation and recruited another neighbor to observe the installation. He was impressed! It has been 7 months since the install, and this past weekend Houston’s weather was unseasonably cold. I awoke on Sunday morning to find that the heat would not turn on. I called and left a message, and within an hour received a return call. It was Miguel. He asked several questions, and without finding a resolution, he arrived at my home less than one hour later, tools in hand! Turns out that the roofers that were here earlier in the week had flipped the switch in the attic that turned off the entire heating unit! Miguel not only “flipped the switch”, but, he took the time to check and be sure the entire system was running properly and efficiently. I am very grateful for the wonderful service and exceptional value I have experienced with this company.

We just had a complete system installed by Woodlands Heating & AC. Brian’s initial assessment and recommendations were followed by a second visit that included Phil, the operations manager. They listened to my concerns and were willing to configure the system accordingly. I respected their knowledge and trusted them to install the best system for our needs. We requested a higher end variable speed system and are extremely pleased with the results. They showed up on time on installation day with Omar and Brian leading the crew. Everyone was very friendly, efficient and careful with our home. The variable speed system is so quiet, and our house feels very comfortable. Their price was very competitive and included construction of a platform in the attic as well as reconfiguring some of the flexible ductwork. Brian spent time to explain and demonstrate all of the features of the new touchscreen thermostat. Omar and his crew did a great job with modifications to the attic space and the installation of the attic based equipment. We were very impressed with the entire experience!
