Local Businesses We Love

The Woodlands is full of locally owned businesses. We love to support those small businesses that are working so hard to make this city a better place to live and shop.

Piney Rose Flowers & Decor

Piney Rose is a full-service floral and gift shop that was started by Taylor and Cullen Handfelt in 2016. Their mission is to find beauty and joy in every occasion, and they do this by creating floral masterpieces that are unique and beautiful. Their shop, located on Research Forest Drive, serves as their floral workshop as well as a carefully curated gift shop full of items that range from home decor to stationery. Pick up an arrangement from their cooler, have it delivered, or subscribe to their Posey Club to have fresh flowers delivered on a regular basis. Piney Rose holds floral arrangement workshops and occasional events, so be sure to follow them on social media to keep up with them!

Picket Fences Home Decor

Picket Fences is located off of I-45 in Shenandoah, and it is a home decor and gift store that carries high-end items for every occasion. If you’ve never experienced this store at Christmas time, you’re missing out! They host an annual Fall Sip & Shop as well as their Christmas Open House that gives shoppers a first look at the beautiful trees around their store, as well as various workshops and giveaways all weekend long. The store has a florist who can make artificial arrangements for your home that will last for years. Whether you’re looking for bedding or gifts for baby, Picket Fences is the place to go.

Mercy House Global

Mercy House Global was started in 2014 with a subscription box titled “Fair Trade Friday” that has now turned into a much larger endeavor that supports thousands of women around the world. Mercy House provides stable, sustainable jobs to women who would otherwise be living in poverty, allowing them to create beautiful goods that are sold in the company’s two locations in Magnolia and Tomball. Their online store allows these goods to be shipped anywhere. Their collections range from handmade jewelry to decor and apparel. Your purchases from this shop can make a difference in the lives of women all over.

Tumbleweeds & Notions

Tumbleweeds & Notions is another locally-owned shop that offers gifts for every occasion. Their shop brings some beauty back into the art of gift-giving. Write a heartfelt note into one of their beautiful notecards, throw a beautiful party with the party supplies they have in abundance, or give a friend a unique gift that you can be sure no one else will have already given them. The mother-daughter duo of Christy and Caroline will be sure to greet you with a big smile and help you find exactly what you’re looking for!

Farmers Markets

If you’re looking for small artisans and entrepreneurs who don’t have a brick and mortar shop, check out one of the Woodlands’ many farmers markets! The vendors range from local coffee roasters to fresh produce to things like soaps and sweet treats. There are so many vendors you can shop from at these markets, so go check them out to find the best of the Woodlands.
